A "new" writer has inspired me. Bias choice? not at all!

So here I am thinking about all my dreams, my goals and my writing. Well I'm gonna stop promising the release of my writing, and JUST get it done. A friend of mine, well an online Friend named Frank Valbiro had recently published his first book on kindle through amazon. Well not VERY recently. But recently. It's a good book so far, but I keep losing my spot I admit. Mainly because I don't read books on the computer enough. I'm about to open it up on kindle cloud and begin to read it again. It might take awhile for me to finish, but I'll finish it. Because I like good books. New books are exciting. So here we go he has inspired me to put out Sunrises and Sunsets on kindle as well. I've been promising my second poetry book for at least 3 years now. Things just weren't going my way. But this way people can read it. I hadn't written a new poem since Writings Letters came out. That was at least four years ago.

Seeing this book of his FINALLY put out, it made me want to write SO bad. I wrote a new poem a couple days after I started to read it. You want to know what the poem was about? It was about turning thirty. It's a poem about being as old as you feel, and different perspectives on life. It's things I am sure my parents have pondered when they were about to turn thirty. It's a poem about growing up and realizing the mark you didn't want to hit, is probably a good place to be. When September 24th comes I'll be smiling. While everyone is calling me old, I'll be calling myself an adult. Not that I wasn't before, but I don't think I've ever felt like one to be honest. There's different forms of growing up. Ones that include maturity levels and getting a job and not living off your parents. All the norms. And then there are ones where you finally stop feeling like you just turned 19. This is the year I am going to say JUST DO IT Jackie. Instead of I really need to do that. I really want to do that. This book needs to be put out. I keep promising. Well this is the year I say STOP breaking that promise. So be on the look out for Sunrises and Sunsets. You'll be able to read this new poem I speak of. It's called a Young Old. Oh and in honor of my most recent inspiration to get my writing butt in gear, there will be a new interview posted via Bella.
