Safe and Sound: Hunger Games
Often times writers also love to read. They always go hand in hand. In my spare time (yes I'd like to consider that my second career!) I work at Applebee's answering phones and taking to go orders. Well A manager there who doesn't work at my store anymore recommended The novel series The Hunger Games to me. I have yet to read it but with the trailer to the up coming movie and the song Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift featuring The Civil Wars out, I have the urge to put down my latest book and go get the series ASAP. Except the problem is I have two books I started and haven't finished yet. I tend to do that lately because I have a pile of books I need to get to. Mostly in the vampire genre as a lot of Charlaine Harris fans are recommending me other stories of the undead. Anyways off track here. Back to the topic at hand. I love Safe and Sound. It's a gorgeous song and I have listened to it on repeat. I might "cheat" and go see the movie then read the novels. Why? Because most screen adaptations are loosely based on a novel series anyways. Let's face it. And at times you get a lot less irritable with the "changes" in a film if you cheat, and watch the movie first. It's been a proven fact with me. So on that note I'll end this entry with a Safe and Sound lyrical youtube video, set to pretty pictures of Taylor Swift herself. SOOOOOOOO purdy this song. Once more it'll be on repeat until I need sleep or to eat.
